The Barnyard is home to over 175 farm animals. We have many standard farm animals such as donkeys, pigs & geese. We also have a number of less common farm animals like emus, deer & alpacas. Visit our petting area, with mom and baby sheep and friendly goats. Our petting area allows access to behind the fence visitation. New poultry babies will be in the Hatching House waiting for you to visit. Our Maternity Barn offers you the chance to visit our expectant mothers and newborn babies (May—June) The Barnyard is designed to be an outdoor experience with room to play, including wooden climbing structures and Mary-Ann, the steam shovel. At the end of your visit, check out our Gift Shop, which is fully stocked with lots of farm and animal themed educational activities and toys, Our friendly staff is eager to assist you with your animal experience. We love sharing information about our history and animals.

For the Safety of our Guests and animals, we ask that guests respect our rules on various signage throughout the Barnyard. Signage includes: How to feed animals properly, weight limits for pedal tractors, petting area safety and please do not pick up the baby goats. We had an excellent time. The grounds were clean and well kept, and the staff was courteous. My daughter had a blast on the numerous children play areas. Will definitely be going back!

We had a good time over all. There is a good variety of animals to see and the staff are friendly. Prices are reasonable and fair, however the website is misleading. It says it free to visit the farm but activities may cost money. It currently costs 9 dollars a person to get into the barnyard to see the animals.

The farm was an awesome way to spend the afternoon with my daughter! It’s 8$ pp to get into the barnyard and there were a wide variety of farm animals to see and some to go in and pet. You can buy tokens for feeding the animals too. They have fun wooden play structures for kids, it’s shady, and there are bathrooms, and lots of picnic tables in and out of the barnyard. There are lunch options, really yummy ice cream, and flavored milks and cheese all for super reasonable prices. Not a bad ride from old orchard beach where we’re staying.
