We use the old trails throughout the farm from logging roads to livestock paths. Terrain is varied with some hilly up-down, plenty of open field skiing and intimate trails through the woodlot.

Cross County Skiing
In the winter, Smiling Hill Farm operates an extensive cross country skiing operation. Just minutes from Portland, skiers can spend less time driving and more time skiing on our approximately 25 kilometers of machine-groomed trails around the picturesque and historic Smiling Hill Farm. Trails are groomed wide to allow both classical tracked and a generous skate lane.
A fully equipped rental line with Rossignol ski packages are available.

Trail Fees
- Adult Daily Pass $9.00
- Junior Daily Pass (12 years old and under) $8.00
- Week day (Mon - Thurs) After 2 pm Pass: $5 adults and juniors
- Snow-shoe Pass $5.00
